Before elaborating on whole process of grey fabric manufacturing Let us look on what is textile fiber, yarn and fabric and what are the process flow chart of Textile Manufacturing can be described.

Normally, textile is a woven fabric; now applied generally to any one of the following:

1.Staple fibers and filaments suitable for conversion to or use as yarns, or for the preparation of woven, knit, or nonwoven fabrics.

  1. Yarns made from natural or manufactured fibers.

A textile is anything that is made up of fibers, yarns, or fabrics.  The basic building blocks of textile products are fibers.  Fibers are usually long thin materials that have a length at least one hundred times their diameter.  To be useful in textiles fibers must have some desirable properties such as strength, abrasion resistance, flexibility, or moisture absorption.

As you can see, textiles are more than apparel, they are used in a wide variety of products, sometimes hidden from view, but always an integral part of the product, said Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.

Mistakes Beginner Investors Make

Six Worst Mistakes Beginner Investors Make

The idea of making your money work for you through investments is appealing. It is also one of the ways to accumulate wealth. However, if you are a beginner investor, be warned that investments are not a free lunch. You could lose all the money you have invested, making you worse off than you were before you started. To prevent this, here are six mistakes to avoid:

  1. Don’t confuse gambling or speculation with making an investment. If you are acting on a hot tip or blindly picking a stock, you are not investing. Investing means making a decision that you are comfortable with and prepared to stick with for a while.
  2. Not researching the investment you are interested in. Research helps you understand an instrument or product and know what you are getting into. If you are investing in a stock, for instance, research the company and its business plans.
  3. Also, don’t invest without a time horizon in mind. If you are planning to accumulate money to buy a house, that could be more of a medium-term time frame. However, if you are investing to finance a young child’s college education, that is more of a long-term investment. You will have to find investments suitable to your time horizon.
  4. Remember that the return you expect comes with a risk. If an investment offers very attractive returns, also look at its risk profile and see how much money you could lose if things go wrong. And do not invest more than you can afford to lose.
  5. Do not lose sight of your risk tolerance, or your capacity to take on risk. If you are the sort of investor who can’t stomach volatility and the multiple ups and downs associated with the stock market, maybe you would be better off investing in the blue-chip stock of an established firm rather than in the volatile stock of a startup firm.
  6. Do not act on the premise that markets are efficient and you can’t make money by identifying good investments. While this is not an easy task, and every other investor has access to the same information as you do, it is possible to identify good investments by doing the research.

“If you have the money to invest and are able to watch out for these beginner mistakes, you could actually make your investments pay off. And getting a good return on your investments could take you closer to your financial goals” commented Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.

Future of cotton

Future of cotton

Future of cotton and textile sales in the world

Prices of cotton have kept on the same range since October, 2015 with stocks at high levels, which will continue influencing on prices. However, it is the first time in 5 years that the worldwide production will not cover the total demand, which will decrease the total stock slightly, but the total demand of production for this fiber is not high enough to affect the price.

The main producer of cotton nowadays is India, and worldwide, cotton represents only a third part of the textile that is consumed. In Europe, synthetic fibers are still representing a 4% total of the textile consumption.

“Cotton is the main fiber to produce denim, which is used to manufacture garments which are more popular each day, the low price of cotton can be helpful to offer more competitive prices to our customers”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, an enterprise dedicated to manufacture garments mainly made of denim.

The demands of the emerging economies in Asia is still strong, but the growth rate is diminishing significantly, plus some tensions on the Chinese market, such as the falling on competitiveness of cotton costs are causing a regrowth of business risks on this sector. On the more developed economies, the Europeans are slowly going back to buy confection, while that in North America, this sector is growing up significantly.

In North America, the cotton production is the third more important in the world, and it is actually facing a deceleration to the Chinese demand linked to the importation restrictions. United States used to be one of the main providers for China.

In Canada, the sectorial risk needs to be watched, the slowdown of energetic investments is affecting the economy and the increasing rate of unemployment is starting to cause tensions on the household incomes, which might mean reducing the amount of money destined to clothes expenses.

“There are different factors that are causing a deceleration on the demand of textiles, and clothes; however, this is nothing more than a batch as many more we had seen or will have to go through in the future on this industry”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.

Type of threads and their characteristics

“Only threads of great quality can guarantee a good manufactured garment, that is why Grupo Denim works with vendors compromised with the quality of their products, to make sure we only deliver garments that will strictly meet our customer’s specifications”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of this company.

Here are the different threads that you can find:

  • Cotton– This is the most popular thread, as it is easier to find and buy and it is manufactured in different weights, if you are getting this thread, we recommend you the mercerized one, as it is softer and the color is more consistent.
  • Polyester – Covered with cotton, the polyester thread is also known as multipurpose, it has a center made of thread which makes it stronger and elastic and it is perfect to sew natural fibers and weaves.
  • Silk – The 100% silk thread is made in a variety of colors and weights, it has a characteristic brightness that can enhance any look, it is strong and elastic and it is perfect to sew silk and wool.
  • Nylon – This is a very resistant and invisible thread, it is mainly made in two colors: transparent and smoke, and it is great for light fabrics.
  • Metallic – Metallic threads are bright colors, if you have decided to use them, keep in mind you have to take the necessary cautions with your sewing machines as these threads tend to accumulate static electricity.

“Although there are many different types of threads, it is important to only wear those of the highest quality, as this will ensure resistant seams”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal about this topic.
